GTAWU and GBN Collective Agreement Signed

The Grenada Technical and Allied Workers Union 'GTAWU' and the Grenada Broadcasting Network on Monday Signed off on its collective agreement which has been pending for the period 2015 to 2017.

The Agreement which was heading to arbitration was aborted after labour minister Hon Peter David skillfully intervened, and both parties later came to an amicable agreement of 2% for 2015, 2% for 2016 and 4.5% for 2017.

The agreement was signed in the presence of both the minister of labour Hon Peter David and the labour commissioner Cyrus Griffith.

Affixing signatures to the document were President General of the GTAWU Sen Andre Lewis, Roberta Sampson repreentative of the OCM, labour commissioner Cyrus Griffith along with employee repreentatives.

Both parties will now begin negotiation talks for the period 2018 to 2020.
